Built in 1891, it had 4 bars until the early 2000s. Crwys is the Welsh for Cross or Crucifix, presumably because the pub resides on a crossroad. The pub had a half million-pound refurbishment in August 2011 and necessarily looks better than ever.

Juddy says: “Been here a couple of times for lunch, always had a lovely meal with great service. Light and airy with big beer garden. Clean toilets, bar mats on the tables. Would recommend a visit.”
Mark says: “35 years ago, this was our local. It is undergoing upgrades at the moment. Since we were here, it has been extended into next door and opened up. There is also a large beer garden at the rear. Eddie,the batman in our day’s, is long gone, the current barman was very friendly and the Brains SA very smooth. The more improved pub is refreshing and a good step forward as to what was there in the early eighties.”
